He's a good personality on-stage, saw his acoustic show recently and half of it was practically standup comedy.
His albums can be hit and miss but he's done some great stuff over the years. Of his recent releases I enjoyed Casualties most. Sky Blue was decent but Dark Matter just didn't do anything for me at all. I also think Ki is pretty underrated.

I think he is in the process of falling off big time. He does not want to make aggressive music anymore, but gets pressured into it by the fans and labels. Deconstruction, ghost, Casualties of cool and to some extend, sky blue are the only good releases of modern Devy.

It just seems to get overlooked compared to the other DTP albums. I guess it's the fact that it's generally pretty stony-faced and not as characteristically "Devin" as the others.

That's what makes the title track so affirming, it feels like the final culmination of all the album's tension.
The end of that segueing into Quiet Riot is one of the highlights of his discog imo.
