damn, im very hyped for the album, this improv is surprisingly very enjoyable.

I did like CHz when it first came out and for like the next year after that, but it's pretty forgettable for some reason (maybe because it didnt get BNM??). I was worried because Slasher Flicks also didn't hold my attention for very long, but idk this improv hypes me very much, cool

I hope this is a clue as to what their new album is gonna sound like. I was really hoping for house/techno, noise, etc. Idk but I just had a feeling they'd be doing some house music.

Sonic Boom also said there's lots of vocal trade-offs on the album. Vocal trade-offs, plus modular house music...sounds like AnCo might make another masterpiece.

honestly, I think Animal Collective are done. After MPP Avey and Panda's solo albums took a dive, CHz was weak too. Mark my words this album will be as well received as CHz and then the band will retire.

It's outtakes from PBVSGR, but it's pretty lofi and experimental, almost all instrumental as well. It doesn't sound very much like the album at all.

Think of the moments MPP/Fall Be Kind when it would switch back and forth between Noah and Dave - Bleed, for example. It's different than a harmony, but sorta similar.

Yeah, it's a track where the vocal effects come off as grating as Avey is REALLY pushed forward in the mix on that one.

For me another issue is that it sounds less like a cohesive track and more like a bunch of unrelated musical sections clumsily put together. Somehow they were able to make that idea work really effectively on Moonjock (which also goes through quite a few sections/motifs) but it's not successful here.
