Seriously, I started falling asleep halfway through. Don't see how this is supposed to be a masterpiece. Maybe indie rock isn't my thing after all?

I found this album very boring first few listens. I began to appreciate it around 3rd listen and now I love it. But folk bores a lot of people so if it's not you're thing it is not your thing

Aphex Twin, generally.

Some of Windowlicker, Syro and SAW vol 2 I do enjoy, but then it just seems the vast majority of his other work is basically him messing around with a Korg. I've been told before that I don't get his "humour".

Like, there's no range, no lush bass or percussion, no light and airy leads. Just fidgety saw wave, what sounds like a WASP preset or something. Along with this flanged bass synth straight out of a Casio keyboard.

Yeah pretty much. I don't care for SAW 85-92, even though I make electronic music. I think if you're the type of person to like SAW 85-92, then you'll like his other stuff.

I dunno, his music is strangely hard to get into for some strange reason. I respect him, but at other times I wonder whether he's just a hack who tricked us all masterfully.
