How do I make my chord changes on guitar smoother? I'm familiar with all open chords and even more intermediate ones but my chord changes are sloppy when I strum. How can I fix this?

Try different fingerings. You can finger most chord shapes at least 3 different ways. Don't be afraid of getting uncomfortable with new fingerings for chords you already know. It'll help you in the long run.

Maybe learn some songs with similar chord changes to the ones you're having trouble with. If you have more opportunities to use those changes, then you'll probably be practicing more. Might take a bit of will to slough off that overwhelming feeling of "I don't wanna do this shit" if you have that problem. You better be enjoying the shit out of the songs you learn.

Like switch your pinky and your ring finger when you play a maj7. Use your thumb instead of barring. You know what I mean.
