Simplicity, ease of maintanance, can throw it around with no fear of bending your derailleur hanger, no chain slap, no angry mechanical noises when jumping curbs, no misshifts, etc.

That being said, SS with disk brakes seems kind of silly

Usually singlespeeds are built as fashion statements or budget based. Most people that have the means (not limited to financial) to would usually prefer some form of multiple gears

Alexrims are cheap 'I bought it on amazon' rims

Love the color.
Look for old 600 tri-color components, that's what mine and others came with. I think 1200 models had 105 cranksets at 52/42T. That should be enough to get your search on.

This is so dumb. If you run drops you shouldn't have to ride on the drops save for few occasions.
Drop bar brake levers are much more accessible and give an extra position for your hands. If you ride on the tops all the time just get riser- or a flatbar.
I also have beef with brown finishing kit on black frames. It's ugly

Get some black bar tape while you change those levers.

I don't know what it is but I just think those cable routing clamp things on the top tube look awful. I would almost consider removing the brake just so I wouldn't have to see those ugly ass clamps.
