What was your worst ride ever?
I'll go
>in the middle of a 50 day tour
>middle of nowhere Montana, about to cross continental divide
>early start, stop for breakfast 30 miles in
>check route
>Adventure cycling diverts us 50 miles north
>decide to take a short cut, which should end up being a 90 mile day
>locals say it's not too bad
>steady incline to divide, as soon as we hit the top we get a headwind
>have to pedal downhill, day starts to heat up
> hit mile 60, and we expected a gas station to fill up
> it's closed
> mile 65 the hills start
>3 600 foot climbs each about 9%
> run out of water after the second
>still 15 miles to go and Garmin says 96℉
>skipped lunch to beat heat, so I'm starving at this point
> finally see sign that the 'town' is 2 miles away as it is getting dark
>group member gets a flat
> change it
>the valve is broken
>change it again
Limp into town and the restaurant is out of business. We camp behind a closed gas station and eat trailmix with hose tasting water for dinner. No shower, no bathroom, just highway sounds all night
Pic unrelated but I got some mini gourds at a farm stand on my ride today

So I let my friend borrow my bike for 2 days and he when he returned it the crank was broke. Pic related, although mines was fixed gear (same model).
Since this Peugeot is from like 76 the parts are hard to find. Said friend has a roadbike that doesn't have wheels, Is it possible to just take the wheels from my Peugeot on it and a new chain to make it a fixed gear, or is it more complicated then that? Thanks in advance!

Hi, I have a question about airfare reimbursement. I am organizing a conference. One of the invited scholar wants to fly a business class. He knows that we can only reimburse him the amount of economy fare, and is fine with that.
I guess my question is... how can he get an official document which states the amount of economy fare? There are so many different rates even for a economy class of a same flight. Would the screen capture of the economy fare on the airline website be enough? I know I should consult with the organization we got the fund from. But is there a standard procedure for this sort of situation? Does anyone with a degree in Event Management know the answer?
