Aside from the above, JR Central would probably have to spend a lot of time/money to make a 16 car double-decker that would accelerate as fast as the N700, which might not worth their effort as they would have to make an E4 set that is twice as long and heavy* to accelerate 60% faster (E4's acceleration is 1.6 km/h/s and the N700 accelerates at 2.6km/h/s).

*A set of E4 is 201m long and weighs 428.0t and a 16-car set of N700 is 405m long and weighs 407t, so a 16 car double decker would probably weigh at least 800 tons

The Tokaido Shinkansen is basically one of the busiest HSR corridors with at least 10 trains per hour in normal hours since it connects three major metropolitan areas (Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka), so there are plenty of businessmen and other people traveling between those areas with it

- White front light, red rear light (complying with a load more, very specific rules)
- White front reflector, red rear reflect (with some rule concerning area and min height)
- Yellow pedal reflectors, front and back
- Yellow reflectors in your spokes or white circular reflectors on the tires.

That said, I usually ride a road bike to work, but it's strictly for excercise so it's sports equipment that's exempt from some rules.
Also, cops don't give a fuck as long as your'e not drunk and/or being an asshole.

I had a mukluk last year

the conditions where fatbikes excel over normal mountain bikes in snow is very slim, 1-3 inches of fresh stuff on hardpack where you have a lot of elevation gain, and with that you have to drop the pressure so low the bike becomes super sluggy when the road surface gets a bit better (like if you're connecting trails and riding on roads between them)

you still can't really go biking through more than 5-6 inches of fresh snow on them. it's hike a bike after that every 30 seconds if you have grades to go up.

I found I only had a good time when riding on groomed snow mobile trails, thats something normal mountain bikes can do, maybe the 29+ would be better

I thought the mukluk was actually more fun on normal trails in the spring/summer than it was in snow.

I sold it a couple months ago, they're fine, fun bikes but their capabilities are exaggerated and for big tire fun, 29+ seems to be better
