Post bus stops. They don't have to be beautiful. Even the gloomy ones are preferred.

Also, judging by the industrial and barren landscape, I would guess the OP pic is from Norilsk, famous for its nickel mines and smelters.

I deduced that from this list of cities that the photographer visited. Don't be a little bitch because you didn't know what Norilsk was/looks like before reddit showcased it. I wouldn't know if they did or not, since I'm not an illiterate pleb like you.

there was a greyhound bus stop in the middle of nowhere north california we stopped at in the middle of the night.

this thing was like a single building with old candies for sale and no restroom at all. not worth even getting out of the damn bus for.

maybe anon, but we got there on hour 12, of my 24 hour bus ride.

made me decide to not use greyhound anymore, train is much more scenic, even if it takes a bit longer.

I think he means it's the Greyhound Station in Weed, CA

This is the crosstown terminal on the far side of town, really way too nice for the tiny amount of buses they take

This is my current bus station. It cries 1930s.

Functionalism was a big thing here, so we have all sorts of public buildings with similar style around the coutry. I find they have aged quite gracefully, they are pretty.

Essentially the last generation of buildings built with the traditional methods and to last, then they found reinforced concrete and things went downfall.

In a small town nearby (Poland). This was a hall with a waiting room and a ticket office, but when the office was liquidated (due to declining traffic), and the hall was devastated by bums, it was converted to a store.

Plenty of the functional style buildings are reinforced concrete. It's a perfectly fine material to use with traditional in-place construction.

The word you are looking for is prefabricated concrete elements, which plague Finnish architecture to the date. They quite literally make everything look the same.
