Lets say we do.
Lets say miraculously 40% of passenger manage to wear it right.
Let's say the airplane don't explose with decompression due to opening the door.
Let's say 60% of the 40% who managed to wear the parachute survive the cold and lack of oxygen. (24% of total passengers are surviving at this point)
Let's say 60% of those survivor don't fuck up by opening the parachute too soon or too late. ( <1 5% surviving)
Let's say 30% of them don't drown due to the parachute. ( < 4%)
Let's say 10% of them survive the hypothermia somehow. ( < 0.4%)
Let's say a ship manage to pass by and save them before they die of hypothermia/exhaustion/dehydration in the middle of the ocean. (our planet is mostly water covered)

How long do you think that plane will take to fall ?

Did you ever took a plane or a train full of people ? Didn't you notice you need minutes to exit it when everybody is calm and waiting in line ?
