S-chassis general!

Have my car booked in for a tune next week and an oil leak fix.
Waiting on my mate to finish making up my catch can so I can have my rocker covers powdercoated.
Going to fix my side skirts after one of them got a split.
Plans for a new look by mid next year, want to get rid of my goofy looking front bar and go for a more aero type x look, still undecided wether or not to change the rear bar out for a standard bar with type x pods or leave the rear bar as is.
New wheels at some stage, sick of having to run 30mm spacers to fill the rear gaurds, thinking of rpf1's but still undecided.

It depresses me deeply to think that in a few years when i start to make adult moneys. The 97, 98 supras will be harder to find and more expensive. What of you that own one? What are they like? What is /o/'s general consensus?

Am i crazy?

No.13753308 ViewReplyReportDelete
So i have an old boomer neighbor who has a 1988 Jaguar XJ6.

I've seen im working on it a few times but he generally drove it every day for the past like 8 months. I talked to him about it and he said he was having some power steering issues and some of the interior lights were staying on.

Fast forward to this week and he just bought a new subaru Forrester. Today i saw the jag parked out front with a for sale sign. So i walked up and took a peek.

The car has 143K on it and he wants $700. The paint is like 7/10, could be like an 8.5 with a good claybar and buff. And the interior is like a 7/10 as well.

He ended up getting a new steering rack and hoses and new tires in the past few months.

Am i crazy to maybe want to buy this? I mean $700, how bad could it end up being?

Pic related, its not the car but its the same color.

Miata help

No.13752674 ViewReplyLast 50ReportDelete
Hey /o/
I finally got a Mazda Miata. Its a 1990 with 110k miles on it, and I paid 1.5k USD for it.

It has only one problem though. Basically, I have to rev it to like 3-4k RPM and slowly ease out on the clutch from a stand still. Putting it into first and putting my foot on the floor does nothing. Any idea what could cause this?
