Hey /o/, ausfag here. I'm 18, almost out of school and all that shit. Anyway, my father is trying to push me towards being a mechanic when I have clearly expressed that I don't really want to anymore, like I like working on my own car sometimes but I don't want to do it everyday of my life for shit pay. Don't get me wrong I love cars just not enough to deal with them almost every day.

He won't just listen to what I have to say and he tries to make it sound better than it actually is (I've done work experience for school with a mechanic shop) with wild claims like "women love mechanics", "you get good pay", "you'll be able to use all the equipment all you want" and all kinds of shit.

Wat do guys, can you guys come up with some reasons that I could tell him to get him off my back cause he won't accept the fact that I don't like working on other peoples cars (mostly the condition people leave their car in makes me wanna kill myself because they never take care of their car and it's a fucking pain to work on) and that I just don't want to be around cars all day everyday.
