It's very doable even in the stock configuration (after all, at one point in time 360,000 people drove these things when new), but there are some upgrades you're gonna want to make for the long term ease of use and reliability.

Rusty Z was a great dude and made a paste bin of information about DD'ing an S30 and what modifications need to be made to not tear your hair out.

It isn't stock. It is a 200ZR but the wing, lip, and side skirts are aftermarket. The front and rear fenders look like the earlier model ones too, but they might have come stock on the 200ZR or are aftermarket as well.

With the VG30 engine, that is very true. If one engine swaps them with an RB20 or an RB25, that's definitely not the case.

Well, does it run? Aside from the ignition is it in otherwise operable condition? Go look at that thing man.

As far as rust goes, look at the frame for one thing. ALL of it. even where it goes back into the gas tank area, though that kinda goes without being said. Take a good look at the hatch and make sure it's rust free, because those can be a bitch to find. And hella expensive when you do.

Otherwise just do the normal routine, all the normal rust spots, engine check and all that.

For a full time working, part time schooling, lazy guy. Thats easier said than done my friend. However, next semester I will be taking a break from school so i will have two days off a week. so I'm going to bust out as much work as I can on those days.

Another very nice vehicle that I would love to have has come up for sale so I either take out a loan to get it, which I would rather not do, or sell off the Z. I can always get another Z later down the road but the other car is pretty special.
