So when I was going to my car today (92 525i wagon) I noticed that MY ENTIRE FRONT FUCKING BUMPER HAD BEEN STOLEN. I don't even live in the ghetto and I still managed to get fucked.

Someone broke into my SW20 once
Took my $1 pocket knife, a $20 garmin GPS, my fucking battery, and burnt CDs.
They left my $3000 stereo system that could easily be pulled out.

Some asshats drove through our neighborhood last night and flung eggs at peoples cars. There was some yolk on my hood but only one splotch. Another egg was nearby that narrowly missed my driverside.

A month or so ago some teenagers came through kicking cars and also threw some bodies cat (srsly).

Also I had someone smash out my back window while in SF and steal a tire pressure gauge. Car was completely unlocked too. They could have just opened the door. It cost like 300$ to replace. Tweakers mang.

I have a love-hate relationship with Miata hardtops. On the one hand, I prefer it to the soft top and it's far more enjoyable to drive. On the other hand, Miata hardtops are held down with all of 4 latches and wouldn't be difficult to steal.

I've been tempted to just get metal brackets and permanently affix the hardtop to the car, because I don't want to wake up one morning to discover a $1000 item has been lifted off my car.
