There's lots of cars. Hondas (integra/civic) are cheap, fast and handle good. MX-5 is cheap and handles well but doesn't have space, still highly rated car.
For more expensive then evo/wrx/gt86. newer ford fiesta st

Just read and see. really though it's down to driver preference. A car might handle good but you might like older cars where you're doing that yourself rather than electronic assisted to achieve better handling

I also considered wrapping my car since you can get cheap wrap online but apparently it's pretty shit and everyone says you should only use 3M to wrap a car but 3M is way to fucking expensive.

if you have the money for the spray gun get one.
rattle jobs aren't too bad but if you're doing a whole car I'd advise against it.
cans are okay for a panel or wheels but for a whole car it usually ends pretty badly.

I just went to supercheap and got a rattle can of colour matched paint, a can of etch primer to go on the metal, filler stuffs, then surface primer. I spent two days beating the dent, filling and priming, a lot of sanding, and lastly laying the paint on. Also make sure you tape up the surrounding areas. the whole thing is let down a bit because Couldn't get the exact shape back in the corner.

TL;DR: Lots of fucking prep work if you want it to look good

I'm assuming this'll be your first bike. My advice: get a cheaper secondhand Jap bike that's easily replaceable if you drop it or crash. Then, once you get rid of the LAMS bike (at way less depreciation then the Beneli will have), you can go for something fun like a Benelli triple, Ducati, or MV Agusta.

To prepare the surface I typically go 200, 400, then 600 (you can skip the 200, you'll just spend a little longer sanding it back). My personal preference is to sand all the way back to bare metal hence the low grit.
Once the surface is painted then you can start wet sanding to smooth/flatten out the appearance of the paint - anywhere from 1000 to 2000 grit works here, it's all a matter of how much effort you want to put in.
Once you're happy with that it's onto a buffing compound to really help it shine

Alright guys, got my MRI results back today. Long story short, it looks like I did have a brain hemorrhage after the accident in my thalamus. To my knowledge, that's the part of the brain that relays sensory and motor information. It also regulates consciousness, alertness, language, and a few other things. Explains most of the trouble I've had.

On the flip side, it looks like it's totally healed up physically and us such, I got my license back this morning.

So here it is. A 2007 Yamaha YZF-R1. 16,000km, one owner, one rider, full service history. Completely stock.... for now.

I paid the deposit about a week ago and picked it up on Friday but the front brakes weren't working so I had to go out today to get some brake fluid and tubing. Bled it this afternoon and went for a short ride down to the shops to make sure it was all working.

First impressions... weird not having cam whine, but the noises are fantastic. The engine note is MUCH more aggressive. The center of gravity is definitely lower than my MC22. Although the weight is noticeable, it feels MUCH more planted and stable.

As for performance.... yeah.... it's absolutely ridiculously fast. Haven't opened it up, but just touching the throttle was absolutely breathtaking.

Overall I'm extremely happy. I'm looking forward to going on some actual rides to find my feet again. It mostly came back to me pretty quickly, but the bike feels extremely foreign, for obvious reasons.

Tail tidy is on the to-do list. Leaving the mirrors since they're actually pretty great. Collapsible too.

Ordered a tinted windshield and some flush mount LED indicators (real stuff not EBay junk). After that Translogic Quickshifter and a Healtech GIpro-X.

Not sure what exhaust I'm going to go with, but gotta delete the cat and remap it at some stage too.

It was funny actually. I was 100% set on getting a Fireblade. Last Monday I decided I'd check Bike Sales as a joke, anyone in SA knows it's ludicrously overpriced.

Saw that R1 for sale for a pretty good price. Was debating having a look at it. Checked the guys address and he literally lived two streets away. Walked over on Tuesday to have a look.

As I said before, it has a full service history. When I checked it the designated mechanic for the bike was actually a mate of mine who works at Yamaha World. He's incredible at his job, so I knew it'd been taken care of on that side of business.

When I went to pick the bike up we had some laughs about dickhead low ballers and he gave me $100 back to pay the rego as thanks for being so easy to deal with.

So /o/, I went to the local dealership to pick up a new or near-new car for myself since my Mitsubish Lancer shitbox from 1991 is about to shit itself.

Found this.

2013 Nissan Micra ST-L, version with the larger 1.5 litre 4-banger engine, max legal tint on the windows, reversing sensors, about 28,000 km on the clock. Comes with 3-year warranty (plus they said it's still covered by new car warranty) and 6 months of rego. Interior seems to be nice and clean and the size is big enough for my 185-centimetre ass. Managed to talk them down to about 11,000 AUD on it, and told them I'd sleep on it before coming in tomorrow to decide.

What do you guys reckon?
