>>13733618You don't just add a double-clutch gearbox to any engine, they're usually mated to the engine, and completely tuned for it, so unless you're an automtive engineer who's got good connectios with ZF (or someone else), and mad skills at transmission programming, you won't just swap one in.
>>13735016I've seen a 6' 8'' guy fit into a Mini. Seat modification should help a lot, like extended framerails and removing foam. Don't despair just yet.
>>13735100You start by ignoring the driver aids, and getting good tires and a gentle right foot.
TRAC = traction control. You add too much power, and the computer will cut power to the wheels. If off, you can rip mad skidz, if on it will make sure your wheels don't spin. Can be substitued by not adding too much power.
VSC= Stability Control. Electronic wizardy that tries to prevent you from spinning out of control. Useful, but can be substitued by lowering your speed when it's snowy out.
LSD=Limited Slip Differential. Google this stuff, it's hard to explain in a few sentences. This will make sure you won't get stuck. Usually mechanical, so you can't turn it off.
Just keep in mind you're in a RWD vehicle with a large amount of it's mass over the front axle - so you've got very little rear end grip. Don't add too much power, approach corners carefully, and none of the electronic nannies will kick in. If they do - well, you just landed in the safety net.
>>13736409Go ask /ovg/. They've got a wiki for this iirc.
>>13736901They aren't Wankel-tier. Just be aware that they use oil - and that a vehicle with a well-known tdefect that isn't fixed can be had for a bargain if you haggle well. If you can get 250 bucks off the price of the car because the oil consumption is bad, that's about 50 gallons worth of oil that you can refill for that amount of money.
>>13737779Be calm.
Do as you've been tought.
Don't be nervous if you stall it once. You won't fail because of that.
Don't use the gutters on your exam.
