>K20but different versions. The integra and RSX always got the better of the two engine-wise. I prefer to look at it from a "tier" perspective, with tier 3 being the best.
>tier 1: baseline DOHC 2.0L vtec @ ~3000rpm = '02-'05 civic si / 02-06 RSX>Tier 2: improved headers/cams/intake valves vtec at/above 5500rpm = '06-'09? civic si, UK & CA civic type r/ SiR, '02-'06 RSX type-s>tier 3: godmode NA DOHC 2.0L vtect @ 6500rpm, redline @ ~8400rpm= JDM civic type rthats about as much detail as i'll willingly fit into this small window. Basically the RSX type s has the same engine as the UK type r or canadian SiR. The 06+ civic si has its own variant of that engine that makes as much HP but i think performance-wise its a step below. After 2010 civic SI's went to a 2.4L and idk those performance numbers.
but its fun none the less. I own an '03 civic. Love it. It's a unicorn because its the only Si imported and was not popular at the time. Its a solid car with a casual motor. Most "EP3" owners either drop the RSX motor in, do a "franken build" (block from tsx, head from rsx) for the torque boost, or mod the existing engine.
