I had to rent a car to cover for my broken shitbox last week. It was pretty darn comfy, just two pedals and nothing else to worry about on the long commute. But it felt dead. The visibility sucked because of huge pillars. The entertainment console was just a distraction, and the transmission honestly sucked, even though the car somewhat made up for it with more power than my shitbox.

What kind of automatic? If you're implying that your LEET manual driving skills would make beating the record Nurburgring time in an "automatic" Aventador or Porsche 918 then you're retarded and have obviously never driven anything powerful and grippy enough to benefit from an automated clutch. When you're "really driving," a car to its limits, there's way more going on than clutching and selecting gears.

I wouldnt mind a manual but if the choice is between semi-auto or full manual, I'll let a coin flip decide. Ive driven both amd dont really have a preference.

yes because manuals in congested cities suck balls. drove one for 20 year, bought and automatic and wont look back for daily drivers.

I routinely drive NYC and Boston stick. It's better than automatic if you know what you're doing, and I'm not even generally a pro-manual douche

I'd prefer the auto from 2002 Camry to a 2015 Cruze or Malibu... Those are terrible autos.

driving a Tacoma with a long heavy clutch that was poorly adjusted for a while. I'm guessing me being OK with in city stick is a function of how sensitive my left foot got from how shitty my clutch was (and still is, but to a lesser degree)
