what do you guys think of electric bikes

i really want a zero emissions vehicle and at 11k these seem like a nice first bike

i wouldn't get one for another two years or so and the range has been getting better every year so they'll probably be even better by then

Until the range improves, there's no reason to buy them. And you're going to want to have charging stations all over the place so they can be practical.
Electric bikes would be nice to have, but bikers like to put miles on their machines. You can't put serious miles down until that happens.

soldering, shrink tube, screw in it, and plug and play shouldn't take anymore than an hour to do.

I had enough cash to get the MSX new, whack some fancies and necessaries on. Everything is cheap so if/when I drop it I can replace anything for under £100.

I bought a place with no garage too, I'd like something like an MT07 for street riding and yeah, something lime a DRZ or WR for fun times offroad, but 1 bike at a time at the moment.

And as far as actually hearing the speakers themselves it depends on the helmet and the speakers provided.

The set I have, have to be right up on the ear for them to be heard, and typically my ipod or phone can't play them with enough power to be clear so I use a Fiio Mini amp.

That term doesn't even exist in Germany. It's an enduro on yamaha website. It could be a better dualsport if it was set up different. Other manufacturers were able to make their 125cc "dualsport" better on and off road, but they just kinda fucked it up.

That's the definition of a dual sport. It does both things equally well which is a good thing. Riding an MX bike on the road would suck and riding a road bike offroad sucks.

i rode the exact one you have pictured, if its a city bike, its great but beyond that its lacking hard, and still has a slower top speed then my 500 dollar shit bike. and you cant count no gas as a good thing for a bike, as the price difference makes up for a world round trip using a gasoline bike.

from my experience, which is very limited, I really like Icon helmets and from the reviews I have read, if you want to ride in wet weather they are the best. I would recommend going to a bike shop or dealership, finding out what helmet fits your head the best, then ordering it on revzilla.

Hrm ok. My helmet came with a Pinlock so I don't have that issue but picking a helmet purely for that is pretty stupid. Also there is a reason you aren't supposed to apply rain x or antifog to a visor. If you let it sit like you are supposed to in the instructions it can eat the coating on the visor making it permanently blurry. If you apply and wipe off sooner than you are supposed to it works but you have to apply it more often.

A good first bike is one that runs reliably, sure you may have anecdotal evidence that Hyosungs run reliably but for most of them they do not. I will say that the SV was a good recommendation. Maybe replace the GT650 with a Ninja 650.

I have the bottom left one, shit holds enough clothes for a long weekend and then some. or it can hold a pair of riding boots and my helmet. and that's just the main compartment. there's a chest strap and a waist strap to keep it from moving around. if you don't want to wear it, there's tons of options for tying it down

pic related, these packs are no joke.

only 3 complaints:
1) i should've have bought camo, shoulda gone with black
2) not water proof. trust me.
3) the excess straps fly around, and they're pretty long. they could get cought in your chain/belt/wheel

I have a big ass backpack kinda similar to a military rucksack [minus frame], got it for like $4 on cyber monday off of eBay. Bought it simply because it was cheap as fuck. Just please never buy actual military gear thinking it's super tough.

Also, I do use military gear. It last long enough until my next ex-military friend gives me their old crap. This terrible cycle is how milspec gear works.
