>>13751622Heavier cars will wear tires faster and require larger components to not only power them but stop them. They also get shit gas mileage!
Buying another car means sales tax, registration, title fees, etc. Plus time out from work.
Are you forgetting these cars enjoy ejecting spark plugs and killing the expensive CoP modules?
Sorry but it's probably twice as expensive to maintain and run your average crown vic compared to a low displacement beater.
Civics are like landmines because of the idiot ricer community. But there's plenty of low displacement lightweight beaters that aren't Honda Civics!
>>13751670No don't take it to a shop they will ream you out. Before you buy it make sure it isn't leaking oil (get underneath the car and check fucking everywhere around the trans/engine for oil). Timing belt service should be done every 100,000 miles.
Change you oil every 4000-5000 miles with the cheapest conventional shit (of the correct weight for your vehicle) you can buy at wal-mart. I'd buy something slightly better than a fram filter. Wix, K&N, Bosch, whatever. Just not the cheapest filter.
Also you could add Hyundai Accents to your list.
