i cannot for the life of me figure out which OBD scanner is not shit. all the reviews are bogged down by dumbfuck who can't get some features to work, and it's making every model i look at seem shit.

can anyone here offer any experience/advice? any auto tech here? what do you use/prefer? what are good brands or anything else would be very helpful.

i am basically looking for one with on-board code descriptions for under $100.
