there is a HUGE difference between ancient cars like that and newer cars. as long as you know that going in, i would say take it. you could make a tidy profit with just some minor restorations.

Snag it and it will only nickel and dime you to death if you let it. Just know what you are getting yourself into and spend money on it gradually. If I were you I would just get new glass and tires and drive it the way it is.

Go for it if you want it, but don't do it if you think you're gonna make any money on it. Offer 700, then pour some transmission fluid or MMO in the cylinders and let it sit for a couple days. If you're lucky the motor will free up and make your life a lot easier.
