Transmission slip angle. What is it? I just had a new clutch installed. Got the car back and the car handled nicely but made loud metal to metal vibration sounds when the tranny heated up. Basically, the lowered the tranny to it's lowest position and it was banging against a support bracket. Took it in, and they told me they need to raise it. Lowering it increases grip and agility.
Took car back, and they raised it to the highest position. Now the car pushes like no other and I can't corner for shit.
When I took it back to talk to them about this they contradicted themselves. They told me the higher it is the more grip you get. And I am probably pushing because the back end is no longer coming loose. But that doesn't make sense because shouldn't my front end be cornering the same? I have to take corners much slower now. Shouldn't I at least be corning the same speed if I was gaining grip?
Can someone enlighten me on tranny position? Obviously my car feels better and rotates better when then tranny is lower. If raising the tranny increases grip and my speed, how do I control the front now if I have to go slower around corners?
