Rotaries problems with the torque curve?

No.13759254 ViewReplyReportDelete
I wanted to google around asking what kind of problems the messed up torque curve does with rotaries in their use.

Yes, i know, le apex seal meme, rebuilding RE memes, expensive cars memes, 1mpg on highway meme, but since these problems can actually be solved i was wondering if there is something that the RE excels at or goes below compared to other engines.

If the Torque curve stays the same for the most of the rev line, doesn't that mean that REs are nearly useless for drifting since drifting requires you to know when you need less torque? and doesn't the torque curve makes them great for drag racing? (at least until the torque becomes too much for the tires, then i suppose you are WAY likely to lose grip no matter what)

Google didn't help, and in this country there are like 5 Mazdas RX in my city (and its a big city) and all of them are gen 1, one of them just has a peougeot engine, and fuck gen 1, i fell in love with the FC.
