I want to buy my first car, it'll be a main stay for a long time and I have $3000
most of the rwd cars seem to be kinda shit though, but the fwd ones are kinda desirable and would be killer with an engine swap

i dont know what to do

if it's your first car it's probably best to stay away from RWD. Despite what the racers and ricers who've been drifting since day 1 say... also your insurance will probably be higher on a RWD car.

Get used to driving, and if you really want RWD buy a beater bmw or something as a second car down the road

My first cars were rwd (1972 Plymouth, 1979 Chrysler) when to AWD Subaru Forester for college but went back to rwd. Fwd does fine, they are bland and lack character to me though. Look at the sea of fwd, do you want to be another brick in the wall?

whats your age/ financial situation?

If your young and still in high school, get your mind out of the idea of owning anything fast/flashy. As long as it gets A-B reliably, then your in good hands.

If your older with an okay job, stick it out for a while and keep on eye on Craigslist /other used car sites to find something in your taste that you will enjoy.

Also, get manual. they're fun.

Neither are most people on /o/. You can find a miata, a mustang, a camaro, etc on your budget. Or you can find a fun fwd car and not let /o/ dictate what you like. Because here's the thing, no matter what you end up getting, some faggot is going to be mad about it. There's no getting around it.
