looking to buy a used truck but I hardly know anything about them preferably a ram or a ford but will consider chevy which is the best year to buy. itll mainly be used to travel and haul atvs I want a diesel pic related max price of 25000

GM (GMC, chevy) or Ford. Avoid Chrystler products. Honestly it's a bit of a toss-up between the two, both brands offer good trucks and have good diesel options.

Details, though, I can't give you, not much of a truck guy so what I've said here is as far as my knowledge on trucks goes.

How much are you hauling. Use a unit of measurement based on lbs of kg.

You might be able to get away with a gas job, which in that case get a GM product.

Depending on configuration. You can get a diesel truck with F-450 type payload in an F-250 sized vehicle
