>>13762117Most cars will be reliable enough, only old sports cars or badly maintained cars have gave me engine trouble. Most cars will need suspension and brake parts as well as tyres (never skimp on tyres) eventually if you keep the car long so be prepared whenever you do get the car.
The citroen c2 looks ok, is stupidly cheap to insure and you could get the top model for 2k with heated leather and stuff.
I also like the clio 182 but this will probably be hard to insure.
Toyotas in general are doggedly reliable and imo are very well built cars (no rattles like the french stuff and a very solid feeling to them.)
The main thing about buying cheap used cars is it depends what's for sale at the time, so don't set yourself up for any one car and just search until something falls into your criteria that has been looked after well.
