blizzaks (bridgestone) are the gold standard for winter traction but they tend to have kind of mediocre dry pavement performance (lots of complains about following road imperfections, increasing tire pressure doesn;t help).
X-ICE have better drive pavement manners but not as great actual snow and ice traction
also remember that most winter tires have their special sauce multicell compound only on the first 50% of tread, after which is becomes basically a shitty all-season
