Okay carfags, can a newbie get some advice?
I REALLY want this '84 Buick Regal with a 350 Small Block Chevy race engine. It has a posi-trac rear and an aftermarket hood. Body is all original paint, has 40,000 on it and the engine has 2,000. It's been kept and maintained by a car obsessed old man.
Now, I drive a V6 Trailblazer at the current and want to sell it to get this car. The Regal is $9,000 asking price. Is it worth it? My TB is in excellent shape but I really want something classic/vintage that has some fucking balls. I'm fairly new to cars as far as how they work and such but I'm a pretty handy guy and catch on quick. I just have a few questions now that I've set the scene:
Is this okay to run as a daily driver and to race occasionally? What type of maintenence other than the obvious should I be doing? Estimated gas mileage on this beast? Would you daily drive this? Thanks for any help anons.
Pic related, vehicle in question.
