So my friend and I went looking for mushrooms today and found some Puffballs past their due date, but also these things. We're not really sure what they are, so would any of you happen to know what it is?
I'm on a visit at my parents' place and there's a small forest nearby. This is in the Netherlands. I made a bunch of pictures of all the mushrooms I encountered, some of them easily identifiable. There's this one big group I was wondering about, secretly hoping they'd be liberty caps. What do you guys think?
On another note, I bunch of Boletales and dried them. Added them to a bowl of stock and let them soak up all the liquid and had them for dinner.
>21 yo, lonely, bored electrician >by March next year I'll meet my savings goal in order to start CC in August and work in Houston PD >have always wanted to hike great long trails with scenic views. >no car payments, kids or gf to tie me down
I essentially wont have this opportunity again until my 60's. I'm in great shape (not much experience navigating tho tbh) and wont need to invest much money in gear.
I want to stay out of the midwest and would love some trail recommendations and tips. Of course I would keep you guys updated.
ok, so i want to build a semi-long term shelter. i have access to nails and rope, a hatchet and plenty of knives. i have an Etool and could possibly get scrap wood or some other stuff. other than that, i have tarps. maybe access to a chainsaw sometimes. what can i do? i also have little to no money to spend on this. i live in michigan and there is mostly hardwoods here like maple, oak and walnut. very few pine trees.
Ok so /out/ has really gone patch crazy lately and I want them all. Can we have a central thread with all the patches coming down the pike and links to them all? As near as I can tell there are at least; 4 Cairn patches 3 picnic bear patches MGTOW patch 1 bear knife in mouth patch. Am I missing any? Anyone have links?
Hey out. Sorry if this is a super pedantic thread for this board, but I have been getting into camping and I am having a problem. I don't know WHERE to camp and hike. I live on a farm and I have practiced at lighting a fire and scavenging, and I spend a couple of nights in the backyard with nothing I can't fit in a pack. I have gone actually camping twice, but both times it fucking sucked. I went to the shenandoah national park, and they have some super bootlicking checkin process and don't allow campfires or hatchets or allow you to spend very long out there. Also its impossible to get more than a couple of miles from the road and the park is surrounded by highways and gas stations/houses/bullshit. The other time I went on the Appalachian trail in south-central PA. It also sucked and was nothing more than a trail through peoples backyards, ended up camping in what was probably someones front yard because it was so late. Where does one actually just go out and hike/camp? Or is that like even possible in the modern day? Are there even real forests left? Or is it all that fakengay?
