No.615169 ViewReplyReportDelete
Does anyone here have a sport pilot's license? Amatuer pilot general I guess.

I am thinking of getting one in the coming months, no flying experience though, not sure what to expect. Hoping I can do it for under 5 g's

Dry Suits

No.613889 ViewReplyReportDelete
Anyone have experience with dry suits.

I want to keep kayak fishing into the winter until the eater freezes over and am looking to get a dry suit. I don't normally get soaked while fishing from my kayak but I do get wet around the legs and arms.

Dry suit seem to range greatly in prices. $175 to $1000+

Is a good dry suit worth it? Could I get by with a cheap one? Skip the dry suit altogether and just dress warm and in layers?

Sandiaoling Waterfall Trail, Taiwan

Hiking trail featuring 3 waterfalls...some pics... lots of obstacles: rope climbs, waterways blocked with bamboo since the previous typhoon. Steep inclines in some areas, but well worth it.

Heating

No.612052 ViewReplyReportDelete
How do you heat your cabin /out/ in the woods ? I habe a wood stove, but can only burn deadfall because of law. I have no time to pick up sufficient firewood so i end up buying some and hauling it to said cabin. I am thinking of upgrading to a oil burning furnance, any experience ? Also what do you do about light, what use are petroleum lamps ?
