>>611644Yes it's to do with how the rubber sores energy and the speed of contraction when it's stretched- you can lose a lot of power this, as much as 25%.

He had to source the heads from a local butcher. to put a twist on things it was about as close to 'human' proportions as he could find with tissue and bone densities, to see how well a slingshot would do against a human if it ever came down to it.
>>611654with slingshots ( if youre serious about it) you tailor bands to the ammo youre using.
a lot of guys prefer flat bands, they have a far lighter draw weight for the power output, but typically area a lot more fragile and susceptible to abrasive wear by taking them in and out of a bad for example.
tubular bands area lot more hard wearing but suffer from a high draw weight to power output ratio. the thinner ones like

>>611181 are shite ( the slingbow itself is crap btw, I have one, you get about 4 inches of band elongation unless you have arms hooked on like a praying mantis and the arrows jump all over the place in the arrow rest)
you can't just stick powerful bands on and shoot light ammo, your shots fly every where and the bands themselves will smack up in the knuckles and back of the
hand.to shoot big poundage bands you need to be shooting heavy ammo, I wouldn't bother using the bands on DC's slingbow for anything less than 30g mass.
in most cases a lot of the guys I know use 12mm lead balls cast from fishing weight mould- they give a nice 10g mass to use on a slingshot kitted up with a 2 ply bandset made of physio therapy resistance bands . It gives a sold 27ish J which will drop pretty mcuh any small game
>>611163these are very good ( also own one) and I'd recommend to a new shooter any day. They cover a multitude of grip styles and band attachment options so that you can find a style that suits you best. Nathan did remarkable R&D on these
