If you had to go out with your current survival equipment and pretty much nothing else because everything's been looted already. Would you live off the local wildlife? Or travel to more a more densely wildlife populated area? How do you think you would fare against the elements. For me I personally would be fine, the biggest problem would be other people.

Right now? I'd probably do fine until winter, then die because I've missed most of the salmon run and don't have a whole lot of salt in my gear closet, so I'd have to smoke all the salmon.
Once it gets good and cold, if I got a moose or something big that could be kept frozen all winter, I'd have a better chance, but I'd still freeze my ass off, since I don't have time to build a cabin or anything before the snow comes.

No, though I do live in Alaska and spend a couple months a year living in a 50 year old cabin built by my grandfather out in the middle of nowhere. I've also kept game outside in the winter under a tarp. Takes a long time to eat a moose by yourself.

Until I starved or made it south. Don't have enough arrows/broad heads for long term survival since I just changed bows. Also I shoot mechanicals and something like a Montec G5 would be ideal since they are easily sharpened. I have a 10/22 and 1000rds though. Have lentils, rice, popcorn, and canned goods. I've got lots of heirloom tomato seeds, sweet potatoes, and garlic bulbils and cloves to be propagated. Also have red beans for growing. So I could almost do alright if I made it to spring.

North Georgia. Winters are too bad even here to survive because of crazy cold spells sometimes. I'd head to the coast if possible. I'd give myself a month though.

I'd attempt to travel to Montana, where I'm from. If I still lived in Montana I could live a lot longer. I just picked up a bunch of salt and shit like that to restock on supplies.

i guess i'd be a good addition to a group, but i sadly lack some important skills to make it very long on my own, mainly hunting.

No gun/bow, so no self defence.
Solid fishing gear, the ocean here is plentiful and doesn't freeze in winter.
Full winter gear; decent tent, good pack and great skis.
Plenty of warm clothes.
Army winter survival training.
Lot's of experience with my gear, both usage and maintenance (no use having fancy stuff if you can't use it right, or repair it WHEN it breaks).
Bring it on.

I'm talking about being able to grow crops. Winters are getting more unstable. I'm sure people around here would be able to survive winter because they do so well when flurries start falling. I have plenty of fishing gear some half decent trapping supplies , already have a semi permanent shelter. Built on 400 acres of state land. That not alot of people go on. And those who do rarley venture off the trails

I live close to beautiful coastline with plenty of forest and lush green land. Would be just fine. I'm outside 16 hours a day anyway working in the woods. Once I built my bed I'd be fine. Dinner tonight was shellfish from the rocks and a mackrel from the water. I also had berries I picked from the wood and some cat tail along side some doritos I got from the shop.

It depends where I was and if I had people with me. If I was alone I may be able to survive indefinitely, until I get a substantial injury or get old. If I was with a group I could go tribe mode and possibly be able to get through substantial injuries and have kids take care of me when I'm old.

Can i bring tools and a weapon to hunt with?
if then probably a long time if i dont get injured or eaten by angry animals.
Step one: set up camp near easy accessible water.
Step Two: pick food, Hunt, trap, and fish, if i get my hands on food, dry it, smoke it. i now have shelter, food and water.
Step three: Build small cabin with fireplace and chimney.
Step four: i dont know, hunt, fish and collect firewood all day long, improve my cabin as much as possible, try to grow some kind of vegetables or berrys.

Step six: Get into an argument with my pretend buddy so that he leaves me
Step Seven: Start screaming and shooting at the shadow figures that stalks me in the shadows

if it's some sort of shtf scenario, the local wildlife will also be very sparse,certain local wildlife species could even be eliminated completely because of too many hunters, for example I think the moose would be completely gone in my area if it was some sort of emergency situations and people had to live off the land. As would many other animals that are traditionally hunted.

I think the sea would be an important food source for me since we have a long coast in my country.
