Does anyone else on /out/ dream of exploring the earth as it was before humans existed ?

This may seem stupid, but I got obsessed with this recently and a I just wanted to know if some of my fellow sc/out/s shared this dream.

All the time, not even pre man, just pre current man. I live in the great lakes region, and like to think about what the first man who found lake Michigan thought, you are stumbling through the woods and boom, you found a fucking freshwater ocean.

what a fag. If people ever diapered nature would be so fucked its silly. What do you think happens to all of our nuclear plants, or oil wells, or any number of other things that will fuck up the environment if it wasn't for daily human prevention?

Yeah, I'd even like to walk from the westernmost point in Europe, Cabo da Roca, Portugal, to the easternmost point in continental Asia, Cape Dezhnev , Russia.... about a 16,000km+ walk, that would take over 4500 hours of actual walking...

I know I'll never get to do it, but it would truly be epic, to start on the Atlantic sea and end facing the Pacific three or so years later (allowing for time finding food, etc).

I was thinking about this the other day, it would be very interesting seeing how stuff was before, historical events and such. And the age when mammals was at its peak, see the mammoths, sabre tigers, bodyslam some saberwolves etc.

ya. Not too long ago I was sitting around drinking with buddies and the topic of 'if you could time travel to anywhen, when would you go to'. I said 50k years ago when humans were still feral and I wouldn't have to interact with them. I think that I convinced all my buddies that this would be the coolest scenario.
