Hey /p/ I bought an entry DSLR coming with a stock lenses what do you suggest wanting to make macro shots? There's macro lenses which cost quite abit but I've also seen some suggesting of mounting 2 stock lenses together for taking macro shots. Any tips or suggestions?

I was given this by a work colleague whose friends Mum had died. Apparently she was quite onto her photography.

It's a Spotmatic II with a 1.4/50mm lens, a 200mm Mamiya/Sekor lens, a flash gun (that still works and also with my D3100!), a tripod, "soft filter" and some various cleaning stuff that is years old.

Guess I need to get some more film, I had some for a Canon AV-1 that was also given to me by said friend but I used that up.

Does anyone know much history regarding this spotmatic?

I'm thinking of becoming a restaurant photographer on weekends while I do other types of volunteer work to supplement my Biotech degree. I need no experience, though I consider myself an okay photographer.

Any try something like this? I'd get 30% commission. They just said itd be busy work and not fun, but I think I'd handle it well. I'd pretty much be guaranteed to get it.

Outtake unrelated.
