>How to make decent shot at a sportive event?

I tried taking some pictures at this automotive event,
didn't get anything appealing.
I was shooting with a canon eos 350d, my first camera a year ago.

I would like to try my olympus omd em-10 and see if I can get some decent night shot.
The only way I can think of doing this is by getting long exposure shots, or from up close with a decent flash (wich I don't have).

I kinda wanna see if this camera is wasted on me or not, do you have any advice for me to accomplish this task?
If I can't take at least a good picture I'll sell it and go back to my 350d.

I was wondering why I see people bashing the canon rebel series cameras. Why is that?

Can someone explain these settings?

Which ones should I choose if I never print, and don't plan to print anything in the future. I do photography and Digital painting. All of my work is made to be viewed on screens.

I'm not sure if /p/ is the right place for Photoshop shit, but it seems like the most relevant board.

Could someone shop out the keyring please? I've tried but it looks like shit (cause I suck at PS)

Hey /p/ I bought an entry DSLR coming with a stock lenses what do you suggest wanting to make macro shots? There's macro lenses which cost quite abit but I've also seen some suggesting of mounting 2 stock lenses together for taking macro shots. Any tips or suggestions?
