Just bought a Canon 1200d (yeah not very good, but will be my first DSLR + it was dirt-cheap so whatever).

It has a 18-55mm lense, but seems like it doesn't have a low enough aperture for the kind of pictures I want to take.

What kind of lense would I need to take pictures like this one?

Wallpaper thread

I'm not a photographer, but I go on this board occasionally to find wallpapers. So, post photographs you've taken that would be good wallpapers.

Pic unrelated, this is a new computer.

Some asshole broke into your home and smashed all of your camera gear. Your insurance company gave you a $3000 check that can only be used on new photography gear. You can't save any excess money or buy non-photography related items.

How do you spend the check?

fujifilm x30

Never posted here before, so, nice to meet you.
Does anyone here take photos with those "vintage" Fujifilm cameras? I always photographed with Nikon, but I bought one of those, the Fuji X30. I'm liking it so far, it is tiny, kinda well built, handles ISO very well for the sensor, and take good quality photos - for my taste.

Does anyone ever used one? What do you think about this little mirror less cameras?

Hey /p/
Playing around with RAW image formats and want to do an HDR
however, as i am a pleb, i have no program to edit this with. all the free programs that would create HDR's are absolute shit and unusuable.
Any good software that has a demo at least? I just need to test a few HDRs.
pic related. supposed to be 0 EV. sorry for JPG, can't upload RAW here.

Japanese vs Germans, who makes the best cameras?

No.2688863 ViewReplyReportDelete
My opinion, the Japanese are the superior photo race.

All germans can do is super expensive items that aren't that good.

Japaneses on the other hand do super good items that are very cheap.
