I have a maybe stupid question.
I bought my first boom (Avenger D600), and I cannot control the inclination. I mount the strobe with a 28inch beauty dish and it rotates on the spigot to face downwards.
I know it's because of the weight. Without modifiers it stays in place.
Is there a solution to use it with my beautydish?
(pic is the boom but not mine)

Because that's not the problem. The grip is strong enough.

The problem is just the strobe rotating in the spigot, not the arm, the strobe.

Imagine this, I want to use the arm horizontally, and once there angle the strobe to face the subject.

Most people call it a stud, not a spigot.

The part you are looking for is a Baby Drop-down Pin (I use Avenger on a Matthew's). It will keep your BD or other modifier to stay horizontal by having the light mounted upside down. Also when buying, make sure to get the correct part for your corresponding boom - Avenger parts are notorious for sometimes being too long/short and not compatible between different models.
