Flipit Paper Combat part III

Bump limit reached

So until I hear that Lotus has an official ruleset somewhere, my friend and I are going to make our own. He's got the list we're working on for what we want it to be, so I'll just be posting what I can remember. Would very much appreciate any ideas or criticism you guys could offer... Here goes(In no particular order).
(Again, we're still just in the brainstorming phase, none of this is concrete)
We were thinking the army would be similat to red's from an infantry-heavy standpoint. Rather than a lot of weak infantry, however, have few strong infantry.
Basic infantry are 15pts each
Squad sizes 3-6.
Equipped with cavalry sword and pistol.
(Which means in addition to infantry always moving double-time regardless if they attacked, they also deal more melee damage than other armies' basic inf)
We haven't really figured out what we want to do with the lotus bomber, we were thinking just give it another bomb, so it will run with 3 bombs instead of 2. We don't know what to do with it, but we figure it'll be somewhere near the front lines with the infantry, and because they're a bit faster, they could do bombing before the infantry arrive, to weaken the front lines a bit.
For the dragon tank, we were thinking of giving it the ability to turn into a long range artillery. (Basically a mortar team, but able to re-position as needed) It's base stats as a tank would be only slightly modified from Black X's tank. It wouldn't be very much better than Black's(even though it's so much larger) because it would have the ability to deploy as an artillery. As an artillery, we thought it was more fair(on account of it being able to move) to have a minimum firing range in addition to a shorter maximum range than a regular mortar. The minimum range would be 6-8" and max would be 24". In order to fire as the artillery, the tank would have to have not moved on the previous turn(for aiming or whatever).

I don't want my paper to go to waste

So I just bought the discovery pack from Origami-shop.com and I really like the high end papers they include, issue is, some of these papers I have NO CLUE what to do with. Like a 6 inch square of Kraft Alios? What is that even for? I'm a folder of high intermediate skill, but i'd hate to see these papers go to waste. Any model suggestions?

Star Wars Papercrafts (Advanced models)

No.532020 View ViewReplyReportDelete
So this Japanese guy uhu02 created a few models. Thing is, he's got a bad habit of pulling off the downloads after a while. However, with a simple Google search I found he didn't pull the files, just deleted the download link, and now I'm sharing this with you.

A few things to keep in mind:
- The instructions are in Japanese. There are pics, but some are blurry. I guess this just adds insult to injury on an already complicated model.
- I haven't made these myself (I plan on it) so don't expect help from me.
- The X-Wing is quite the advanced model. The TIE-In, not so much, I think. Proceed with caution.

Would be great if you'd tell me what to use for these models, by the way. I got all-purpose liquid glue, not wood/paper glue, but I end up high as a kite when I use it. Works fine, but gets everywhere and it's fucking messy. No cutting mat, el-cheapo cutter, and old as hell scissors complete my gear. I'm a scrub, deal with it.

Instructions for the X-Wing: http://uhu02.way-nifty.com/die_eule_der_minerva/038.html "How to make"

Instructions for the TIE-In: http://uhu02.way-nifty.com/die_eule_der_minerva/036.html "How to make" Just click on the numbers, or navigate from 01 and on.

The website is quite cool: it has a LEM from the Apollo XI mission, very detailed, for example, as well as other Sci-Fi stuff.

Has anybody had a problem with microphone being too quiet and still noisy with Realtek HD drivers? I've tried: reainstalling latest drivers, installing drivers from my motherboard's manufacturer website, disabling all the special effects, changing the volume level. If I increase mic boost, it gets louder but the noise persists; therefore, it's not a solution for me. It started a couple of weeks after I reinstalled Windows 8.1. Will probably reinstall it tomorrow if nothing helps.

Deer skull for halloween

No.531664 View ViewReplyReportDelete
Hi /po/! so I recently came across papercraft masks and thought it might make a cool (and cheap) Halloween mask. Specifically I was wondering if any one could point me in the direction of a free pdf template (Pepakura wont work on my computer). Specifically I am looking for either a deer skull or a regular deer/elk/ect.

also, I have come across a few wall mounted versions, would those be easy to convert ?
