Is this an autist thing or do this many people legitimately like making origami?

Does anybody have any cool japanese arcade machine papercrafts? I'm looking for music games in particular.

A lot of people focus on an area of folding, e.g. insects, boxes or tesselation.
What is your favorite area and what get you into it? Also post favorite model. (this one is not folded by me)

i'm looking for stuff to make of a...specific but...broad nature
origami is something i picked up as a teen (15 maybe)
it's mostly been for me; i don't usually show it off unless it's some simple flower thing that takes me 10 minutes but chicks ooh and ahh over for a few minutes then discard
it was very therapeutic for me (shitty home etc)
but i've been doing it for years; i can do complicated stuff.
i'm now a licensed therapist, amerifag
and i think origami / papercraft would be a great addition to our program
the really easy stuff, i can find on my own, and mostly have
but i don't work with little kids that much
so i'm looking for stuff that's a bit more complicated.
preferably not papercraft that requires a color printer
i was thinking, some kirigami, some modular stuff - geometric shapes mostly, maybe stuff like the swan you see all the time
i'm gonna be looking at everything i've got (lotta books; got all the wintercraft stuff too)
if you have any suggestions or other ideas, I'd be very grateful.

I've never seen one of these threads, so let's see how far this gets.

What types of papers does /po/ use in their origami/papercrafts? Are you all printer paper fags or do you bust out money once in a while and buy actual origami paper for your crafts? Is obtaining origami papers too expensive for you where you live?

I like thin papers a lot when I fold, so I usually buy them, but I use printer paper a lot in origami. I get my papers from pic related. What about you, /po/? Who's your dealer?
