For the whale there is one in origami sculpture by Montroll but maybe it's too simple for you, anyway you should look it up.
for the elephant and the giraffe there is a lot of stuff in fact. Try tanteidan book 18 for the giraffe, it's pretty cool. And VOG 1 for the elephant for example. if this is too hard for you maybe try safari origami, there is a giraffe and elephant and even a lion.
For the cockroach i don't know, maybe try origami insect of robert j lang, or if you want a simple model of insect this one is the simplest i know :
