Hey guys, are Pop-Up Books welcome here?
I'm currently in the process of making one for my girlfriend as a Christmas present.
Has anyone had experience engineering this sort of stuff?
Do you guys want to see what I've made so far?

The gundam book is cool, there doesn't seem to be much discussion on the techniques used though.
I'll take some pics of what I've done so far and hopefully get some suggestions for improvement.

I also thought of a cutout cat on a string that the reader can place over the baddies legs. What mechanic do you guys think should be employed for this scene? I want it to depict a black cat, stretching unreasonably long in order to wrap around someone's legs and trip them over. Any ideas?

Thats what it sounds like to me. Maybe not a pull-tab, imo, since its a popup book it should just happen. Its your book though, do what you want.
