Also, just get rid of the corporate tax entirely. In economic terms it's just a hidden income tax and it doesn't bring in much money anyway not to mention that it drives up costs enormously both for companies (who have to hire specialized staff to handle it) and for the government (that has now process a shitton more in the IRS)
A corporation can use the magic of international finance to move their headquarters into a tax haven. The typical shareholders on the other hand doesn't want to leave America.
So that's my recipe in short. No corporate taxes to stimulate competitiveness, higher tax rates for the rich and a simpler tax code.
Better competitiveness, lower costs for everyone and the rich pay some more.
