Canadian Monarchist here.I don't even know why the idea of the British Monarchy appeals to me. It's not even my cultural heritage. If we were in a union on good terms we would have been much more powerful. If only you had treated us as brothers rather than animals. The first thing that needs to happen is integrated education accross the board tbh. I still like the idea of our grammar school and transfer test system which isn't in place accross the rest of the UK, but having schools separated on the basis of religious beliefs is the source of the problem. Children are growing up having never met a Protestant/Unionist or Catholic/Nationalist, and the only knowledge they have of "the other side" is from stories being passed down. This is creating a tribal mentality, and further feeding hatred. 2+2=4 whether you believe in transubstantiation or not, why can't kids just be educated together.
