no m8. if we initiate the eruption of a supervolcano and a nuclear holocaust at the same time then we clearly had time to fight the aliens beforehand, therefore they aren't terraforming the earth or the process requires a more hands on approach which takes time and they won't be able to do that without access to the sun as the only reason they would pick the earth over another planet (given that they can terraform) would be the earths proximity to it. if they can completely remove and create atmosphere then we are talking but as it is, the probability of aliens coming to earth and attacking rather than immediately terraforming provided they have the technology is nil unless they want something that they still couldn't get because we initiated nuclear winter.

There's no reason to believe this would happen. The fact that it hasn't happened yet is a fairly good indication that it wont. Any species advanced enough to travel across star systems quickly would have nothing to gain from humans or earth other than expanding their knowledge of habitable planets in the milky way galaxy

They won't stop at a small replenishable number of our population this time.
