>>54652742>I think Kasich did well too.You think the guy who literally shouted "I WAS A BANKER AND I WAS PROUD OF IT" did well?
Cruz did best, then Rubio, then Christie. Trump held his ground, seemed more mature and knowledgeable than in past ones. Fiorina spoke as well as or better than everyone else, but the record she can't help but run on is just so abjectly terrible that it doesn't really matter.
Bush tried to throw a light jab at Rubio, and tripped and fell off the stage. Jeb's campaign is done, though it will limp on for a while so he can save face.
Kasich looked awful, Rand and Carson were non-entities. Huckabee was pleasant and positive, helped Trump out after the moderators' attempt to goad him into attacking Trump backfired completely. The Huckster is not going to be the nominee and isn't really trying to be, but hes a good presence on the debate stage.
The only true loser other than Jeb were the moderators, who will never again be taken seriously as journalists by anyone with even the slightest sympathy for the conservative half of the country. It didn't feel like they were moderating a debate, it felt like they were 3 Democrats debating the Republicans. The heresay, the cartoonish attacks-there was literally a moment when John Harwood said he knew for a fact Trump's tax plan wouldn't work because "some economists told me".
MOTHERFUCKER, YOU'RE ON CNBC. 75% OF YOUR NETWORK'S PROGRAMMING IS ECONOMISTS ARGUING WITH EACH OTHER.
Harwood, who should have been an impartial referee, sounded less like a moderator and more like the 11th debater when he got into a spat with Rubio over an alleged correction he made to a story he put out- an attack by Rubio which, as twitter showed in the span of 5 seconds by pulling up Harwood's old tweet, was totally accurate.
So to sum it up, Jeb Bush's campaign and John Harwood's career effectively ended last night.
