How can atheists not realise that even if "God" is not real, how great it is that around 2000 years ago humans made these rich writings, some of which are renenditions of the oldest stories that we as a species ever communicated (Flood narrative, creation story, Adam and Eve). These stories provide us a glimpse of what humans have forever been interested in, what they thought to wise and what they feared and that relates to today.

It is also very naiive for people to dismiss religion entirely because they assume people believe "God" to be "a man in the sky". It just broadcasts that they might be on the Autism spectrum and have never thought about God or the Universe in a more abstract way than hurrr sky man that contradicts muh science.

For example, the belief that God is metaphor for light and our Sun, the lifeforce central to our every lives, our Energy, the miraculous habitability of our Earth that gives us the miracle of life. Christianity has always been about celebrating the miracle of life. Translations of the Bible were written in ways that were increasingly vivid and beautiful and of course came to include personification because humans have always been obsessed with applying human-like characteristics to their surroundings in their stories, they make them more relatable and engaging. I think the best thing we can learn from the Bible is that humans have always been a weird lot, but what a miracle and how fortunate it is that we are alive. Thank you God.

Its really say that people completely dismiss this stuff entirely because "it is not real" or "its made up". Its a very nihilistic and consequently miserable worldview to have.

Atheists have autism tbh.

Can I get an amen?
