Halloween was a night of possibilities as a kid. We thought that the dead rose and witches flew through the night. The imagery of arcane and facinating beings permeated our days leading up to the big night, and we could transform into whatever our heart desired. We could be pirates and ninjas. Kings and werewolves. Then in our new form we would gather into packs and wander through the night begging for candy and lighting firecrackers. Ouija boards worked. Spirits could be summoned.

So its really easy to see why as young adults we translated the same holiday to an exploration of our sexual urges and an excuse to overstep boundaries. Girls like to be bad on Halloween because they were princesses as kids and saw boys get to be bad, they have an excuse to pretend to be sluts. I always liked it
