>>54676261>nah i just hate people who have no personal accomplishments in life and life vicariously through people they were related to 15+ generations ago>it's just kind of pathetic. there is a difference in pride of heritage and literally bullet point listing different people you're related to as if it has anything to do with you personallyHow do you know I have no accomplishments in life?
You're just a troll because if you practiced what you preached here you'd be bragging about your own accomplishments.
Your TV really did a fucking number on you when you were a kid didn't it?
Anyway back to John Colter, one of my ancestors. He was part of the Lewis and Clark expedition, was the first white man into the Yellowstone, and basically wandered all by himself all over the great American West establishing trails, trade routes, killing grizzly bears, mountain lions, and two legged animals that fucked with him. He was the first mountain man.
Outdoorsmanship, orienteering, hunting, fishing, canoes, rifle marksmanship, the curing of meats, wood and fieldcraft, these are actual living traditions in my family thanks to my ancestors. I was taught how to shoot, ride, read a map, explore properly, outsmart prey of the two and four legged variety when in the field, as well as many other skills that one would normally consider to be paramilitary or at least unusually backwoodsy. This is what an ancestry is, not just the DNA of people who fucked, but the living traditions and even morality that you end up with because they taught their children.
Somewhere, along your line, people fucked up and you have no particular set of family traditions that makes you even slightly unique. You're just another one of these fucking idiots that constitute the masses, raised on whatever merchant media you were fed and therefore, you got your values from them instead of from your family. I know my family's better than yours, and I am better than you.
