So I consider myself pretty left wing, but seriously if you kill yourself over benefit cuts, when you're living in a developed nation like the UK, call me cold, but I think you probably weren't of much value in the first place.

What does /pol/ think about this?

Yeah, let's absolve our incompetent leaders of all responsibility.

It would be one thing if there was a shitload of austerity but complete with a long term plan and some transparency about what to expect in the future.

Instead we've got blind dicks at the helm making careless decisions.

Everyone pays taxes but under austerity only the bondholders (millionaire bankers) get the benefit while the people who should benefit (average people) get shafted.

If the UK needs to pay bondholders they should inflate the currency more (which they do already)

Thankfully the UK isn't part of the Eurozone so they aren't Germany's bitch completely yet meaning they can at least partially inflate their way out of messes like the US has which is why the UK economy is so much better than Italy, Greece, or France's. As long as you can inflate your currency you can recover from a recession.

The real problems is when that cuck Corbyn takes over he will probably demand you join the Eurozone out of some communist desire for "unity" or something.

I think austerity, in a sense is good, so long as EVERYONE has to share the burden.

In the UK, it is a case of, fuck the poor, the rich and to a lesser extent the middle class are our priority, because hey, they are the ones who vote Tory.

I don't think it's a left or right issue to live withing your means as a nation, it's economics 101, but the rich should also have to contribute their fair share.

That being said, I still think the people who kill themselves are weak willed faggots.
