Also at least half of his campaign funds are coming from his supporters, but he's still MUCH cleaner than the rest of the Republican field.

They're there because the small fish attack the big fish (Trump & Carson) while deflecting questions to establishment candidates to give them more talking time in the big debates. You can tell when a medium fish gets a really good answer in that almost seems scripted.

Look at it this way.

Trump is around 25%-40% support right now, based on what poll you read.

But if some of these guys start dropping out, then Trump's percentage goes up to 60-80%, since there's less competition. And they can't show America that Trump is the leader by that wide of a margin.

Who really knows, but the next debate should exclude everyone below the >5% mark. Folk like Trump, Carson and Cruz need a LOT more time to talk to get their points across than donate all this debate time to lightweights.
